The aim of the Polish Society for Probiotics and Prebiotics
is to support scientific and professional activities related to research and implementation of probiotics and prebiotics, meaning:


1. Promoting research on probiotics and prebiotics,
2. Passing opinions on probiotic and prebiotic products,
3. Working out educational materials relating to studies and implementation of probiotics and prebiotics,
4. Creating information and experience exchange links between experts working in the field of probiotics and prebiotics,
5. Developing scientific, social and economic interests of members to the extent possible within the scope of activity of the Society,
6. Familiarizing the community with the knowledge of probiotics and prebiotics, especially their specificity, action, meaning in relation to health,
7. Informing respective national and self-governing authorities about problems relating to probiotics and prebiotics,
8. Giving opinions on projects as well as on public and private undertakings relating to probiotics or prebiotics.



The above mentioned aims will be carried out by the Society through:

1. Initiating, supporting and performing scientific studies on probiotics and prebiotics,
2. Organizing periodic meetings of the members of the Society,
3. Coordinating and cooperating to organize scientific and educational courses and other forms of postgraduate training,
4. Setting up requirements and principles relating to the quality and safety of probiotics and prebiotics,
5. Implementing solutions and promoting products containing probiotics and prebiotics,
6. Promoting probiotics and prebiotics,
7. Cooperating with national and international congenial organizations.
